A metal pioneer, from the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. In 1985, the band divided with Sepultura the most famous split album from Brazilian metal, also the first LP released by the label Cogumelo Records. "Século XX" assured countrywide recognition to the band.
In 1987 the band released its first LP, Conscience. Back to Cogumelo Records, the band released the album You're Realy Big in 1989. This album, featuring a melodic Heavy Metal sound, became a worldwide success. It was remastered and rereleased recently in the CD format.
In 1990 Overdose recorded Addicted to Reality - this time, the band conceived a thrash metal album. Their next album, Circus of Death, was released in 1992. It is also available in the remastered CD format.
Progress of Decadence, their most famous effort, was released in1993, and released by the American label Futurist. Soon afterwards, the band headed for a world tour, achieving huge success specialy in the US. In 1995, they recorded Scars.
