| LUSTFUL was formed in 1991 at Belo Horizonte , state capital of Minas Gerais and home of the most important Brazilian metal bands of the 80's. Its first line up was: Renato Amarante (guitar), Richard Drumond (bass), Bruno Amarante (drums), Freddy De Marco (guitar) and Rodrigo de Carya (vocal). After many gigs and three demo tapes - Pray To The Lustful God (1992), Heaven Burns (1993) and No Sense (1994) - the band signed with the label Cogumelo Records. Its debut album soon followed: The Almighty Facets was released in 1995.
In 2001, LUSTFUL took part in the “Tribute to Sarcófago” (Cogumelo Records) compilation, recording its version for the classic "Nightmare". Today, the band features founders Freddy De Marco and Rodrigo de Carya, along with Fernando Fernandes (guitar), Josias Rodrigues (bass) and Márcio Siqueira (drums). Explicit sexism, crude revolt against the religious control imposed over humanity and disgust for human ignorance and insanity are common themes in its lyrics, surrounded by the purest Death Metal, forged in the eternal school of Brazilian 80's metal.
With a history full of marking facts, almost two decades of pure underground and a strong and never shattered ideology, LUSTFUL remains stronger than ever, releasing in December 2007 its newest album, PROFANE.
